After a brief hiatus, Vanderbilt Hillel’s Women’s Group is back on campus bigger and better than ever, and with a new name-the Maccababes! Inspired by the courage of the Maccabees and the charm of the Maccabeats, Vanderbilt Hillel’s Maccababes are here to stay. The Maccababes provides an opportunity for female Jewish students to gather together for social opportunities both on and off campus. Faced with the busyness of collegiate life, the Maccababes give students time to relax and make new friends in a new context.

As the Hillel Women’s Group returns from our hiatus, we hope to reinvent ourselves as the perfect opportunity for women of all classes and interests to help create programming to help foster the female, Jewish community on campus, as well as the chance to simply hang out and have a good time. Stay tuned for more information about the Maccababes continued success in the weeks to come.
